Opinion & Answer 23 Edition 37: Pop Culture Trains

Hi Folks,

Good Sunday Afternoon everyone, It's time for another edition of Opinion & Answer. In today's edition, I want to share a few things about Pop Culture and Steam Trains. So I do hope you all enjoy this edition.

-Conductor Wolf

As we all know, pop culture pretty much covers everything from books to television to Movies to even online streaming. Basically if it entertains us in some ways, it falls under Pop culture. And in terms of Steam engines, we can find them in books, Movies, ride them and even spend them (in terms of the Utah state quarter).  Throughout pop culture, trains were a way of entertaining people along with letting people ride them and read about them through many different books that were published. Below are some examples of trains in pop culture: () are the trains that were involved/Train Designs Notes)

  • Books
    • The Railway Series Books by Reverend Wilbert Awdry & Christopher Awdry (Engines based on British Railways between England,Wales,Scotland)
    • Harry Potter Books (Hogwarts Express)
    • The Polar Express book
  • Movies & TVs Shows
    • Thomas and Friends
    • The Polar Express Movie
    • Harry Potter Movies
  • Folk Lore Songs
    • "I've Been Working on the Railroad"
    • "Ballad of John Henry"
  • Even on the backs of US quarters like the Utah state quarter that has the golden spike replication design
