Opinion & Answer Series Part XIII: Fire Trains
Here a question that some people don't really know/confused about "What is a fire train?", the answer is total different than a train that is on fire.
Question: What is a fire train?
Here my answer:
A fire train is a train that is set up to fight a fire that is near/close to the rails that a rail company runs or share with another rail company. A fire train is better equipped to fight fires near the rails as road access may be limited to the scene.
Pretty much a fire train is set up with tanker cars that are filled with either water or firefighting foam with platforms on top of each tanker car that has a nozzle and hose to allow water from being spray from the tracks.
