Steam Train Post #27: KUR ED1 Class


 
As we continued on  the history train journey, we arrived at our 27th stop. With this train trip, we leave The Haydock Collieries in Merseyside, England and travel over to Africa to visit the Kenya-Uganda Railway (KUR) to see their ED1 gauge 2-6-2T tank engine.

Other Interesting Facts:
  1. Later (after 1929) they ran under the Kenya-Uganda Railway's Successor, the East African Railways (EAR) 
  2. Under EAR they were reclassified as EAR 11 class.
